Multiple tires slashed, knife seized and youths arrested

On the morning of July 25, 2015 numerous citizens in the Holmedale area woke up to find their vehicle tires had been slashed. In total eleven vehicles and one construction vehicle received damage.

Eleven vehicles were originally known involved with this incident and therefore all accused were charged with 11 counts of Mischief. The twelfth vehicle damage will also be included in the court documents in future proceedings. Twelve vehicles were found to have at least one tire slashed and in the case of at least one of the vehicles all four tires were slashed.

As a result of this investigation five persons were arrested on Sunday July 26, 2015 and charged with the following offences;

Accused #1 a 14 year old Brantford female is charged with Mischief under $5,000.00 X11 and Breach of Probation. Next court date August 26, 2015

Accused #2 a 19 year old Brantford man is charged with Mischief under $5,000.00 X11 and Breach of Probation. Next court date July 31, 2015

Accused #3 a 14 year old Brantford female is charged with Mischief under $5,000.00 X11

Next court date September 2, 2015

Accused #4 & #5, both 16 year old Brantford males charged Mischief under $5,000.00 X11. Next court date for both is September 2, 2015

Overnight July 24th – 25th, 2015, a number of vehicles were damaged in the areas of Frank St, Webster St, Watson St and Alexander Dr in the Holmedale area of Brantford. A sharp instrument was used to damage the tires of 10 vehicles causing approx. $10,000 damage.
