Unsafe Vehicle Stop Leads To Charges For Driver And Owner

(PERTH EAST, ON) – A traffic stop was initiated by a member of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) shortly after 11:00 a.m. on June 1, 2019 after the officer observed an unsafe vehicle being operated on a roadway. The driver and owner of the vehicle were both charged.

James THOMAS, 56-years-old, of Millbank was charged with the following offences:

Use plate not authorized for vehicle

Operate unsafe vehicle

Jane THOMAS, 54-years-old, of Millbank was charged with the following offences:

Permit motor vehicle to be operated without insurance

Both are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Stratford on July 23, 2019 to speak to the charges.
