Unlocked Pickup Truck Stolen

(ST.MARYS, ON) On Wednesday morning March 21, 2012 Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers in St.Marys were called to a residence on James St. where the homeowner reported the theft of a pickup truck.

Investigation revealed that around 5 a.m. on March 21, 2012, an unknown person entered the unlocked pickup truck which was parked in front of the owner’s garage facing the roadway. Spare keys to the vehicle may have inadvertently been left inside the truck.

The truck, a black 2001 Ford Explorer, had licence plates 588 2JT attached. The truck has a tonneau cover, rusty running boards and the entire truck body is showing signs of rust. Two hot pink Betty Boop decals are located on the back windows.

The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone who has any information about the truck’s whereabouts or the person(s) responsible for this theft to contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
