Unfounded Assault Claim Ends With Arrest On Warrants

On July 6th, 2015 at approx. 2115Hrs, Barrie Police received a call from a female party reporting that she had been assaulted by an unknown male. Several units responded to the north Barrie address to assist with the investigation. Once on scene, the assault was unfounded. However, further investigation revealed that the female complainant was wanted on an arrest warrant for Failing to Appear in court. She was subsequently arrested on the authority of the outstanding warrant and held pending a morning bail hearing.

Barrie Police were called to a south end department store for a cat left in a vehicle with one window lowered approximately 1.

Barrie Police attended as the owner of the vehicle exited the store with her purchases.

The female was cautioned for causing harm to her pet and given a fast education of the dangers of leaving animals in cars during hot summer days.
