Two Charged In Sex Procurement Investigation

The Criminal Investigation Branch of the Owen Sound Police Service has laid charges following a two week investigation into an escort service that was operating locally.
A 21 year old female and a 37 year old man have been arrested.
The 21 year old Owen Sound woman was operating an escort service out of a local motel and advertised her services online. The woman further recruited another female under the age of 16 years to work in the sex trade with her. She has been charged with procuring prostitution and sexual assault. The woman has been in custody since the 25th of September and is next scheduled to appear in the Owen Sound Court on the 12th of October.
A 37 year old Tara man who had sought the escort services, was arrested this morning and has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference. He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Owen Sound Court on November 15th.
