On April 27, 2015 at 5:10 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a downtown establishment after receiving a call that a man had sexually assaulted a woman. The investigation alleges that the man approached a female in the downtown area from behind and grabbed her in a sexual manner. The man then fled into a nearby bar where he approached another female and grabbed her in a sexual manner. A witness detained him until police arrived and arrested him.
A 22-year-old Guelph man has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and breach of probation. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
