(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) At approximately 8 p.m. on Sunday May 16 Perth County OPP officers were called to a collision at the intersection of Perth Line 36 and Road 122 north-west of Stratford.
Investigation revealed that a north bound pickup truck on Road 122 (O’loane Ave.) proceeded through the stop sign controlled intersection and was struck by a west bound pickup truck on Perth Line 36. The T bone impact forced the north bound pickup truck into the north-west ditch where it came to rest. The west bound pickup truck came to a stop on Road 122 north of the intersection.
The 18 year old Township of Perth South male who was operating the north bound pickup truck was transported to the Stratford General Hospital by Perth County Ambulance. The four passengers in his truck were also taken to Stratford General Hospital. The operator of the west bound pickup truck, a 53 year old female from the Township of Perth East as well as her passenger were also transported to the Stratford General Hospital.
All injured parties transported to hospital were treated and released.
The Stratford Police Service and Stratford Fire Department assisted the OPP with safe traffic control and clean up of the collision scene.
The Perth County OPP is continuing its Investigation into this collision.
