(ST.MARYS, ON) On Friday January 06, 2012 at approximately 10:40 a.m. a two vehicle collision occurred on Queen St. west at William St. in St.Marys.
A Perth County OPP investigation revealed that a Buick Regal was travelling eastbound while a Dodge Nitro was westbound on Queen St. west. The Buick drove onto the westbound lane and stuck the rear driver’s side door of the Dodge causing it to slide sideways into the north curb. The Buick came to a stop against the north curb facing eastbound.
The 54 year old female driver of the Dodge from the Township of Perth South was transported to the St.Marys Hospital where she was admitted with minor injuries. The 44 year old female driver of the Buick from Central Huron and her 21 year old male passenger did not sustain injuries. The driver of the Buick has been charged with “careless driving†and is set to appear in Stratford Court on February 14, 2012 to answer to this charge.
