(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Friday June 14, 2013, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a two vehicle crash on Hwy 8 at Road 125 west of Stratford.
Investigation revealed that a Buick Century was stopped in the east bound lane of Hwy 8 waiting for west bound traffic to clear prior to turning north bound onto Road 125. The driver of a Mazda sedan who was operating her vehicle east bound on Hwy 8 drove into the back of the Buick.
The 48 year old male driver of the Buick was uninjured while the 48 year old female passenger was transported to Stratford General Hospital with minimal injuries. The 18 year old female driver of the Mazda, a Municipality of West Perth resident was uninjured. She has been charged with careless driving.
