(SAUGEEN TWP, ON) – On March 19, 2016 at 7:30 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Bruce County Road 40 and Highway 21 in Saugeen Township. Officers arrived with Bruce Paramedic Services, Saugeen Shores Fire Department and members of the Saugeen Shores Police Service to find a Blue Chevrolet Cavalier and a White Dodge Caravan involved in the crash.
The driver of the Cavalier was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
A passenger from the Caravan has been taken to a London hospital by air ambulance for treatment of life threatening injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit is assisting the South Bruce OPP with this incident.
Highway 21 and Bruce County Road 40 have been closed around the scene of the crash for the safety of emergency responders. Motorists are asked to respect the closure and avoid the incident location.
