(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Tuesday July 05, 2011 at approximately 4:40 p.m. Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a two vehicle crash in the curve at Perth Road 101 and the Perth Oxford Road.
A GMC Sierra pickup truck had entered the intersection and proceeded to turn west bound when it was struck by an east bound Dodge Dakota pickup truck.
The driver of the Dodge Dakota, a 33 year old male from Kitchener sustained injuries and was transported to Grand River Hospital in Kitchener where he is being treated for serious but non life threatening injuries.
The GMC Sierra had two occupants; the passenger a 35 year old male from Brighton was transported to Stratford General Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. The 70 year old male driver from Thorndale did not sustain injuries, but he was charged with failing to yield to traffic on a through highway.
