On Saturday, April 18th, 2015 at approximately 6 p.m., a two motor vehicle collision occurred where Arthur Street South and Highway 85 meet, just south of Sawmill Road in Woolwich Township. A silver Nissan, driven by a 50 year old Moorefield man, travelling northbound on Arthur St. S and a silver Volkswagen driven by a 19 year old Waterloo man. The driver of the Volkswagen pulled out in front of the Nissan, attempting to conduct a U-turn. The Nissan was unable to stop and struck the Volkswagen in mid turn. Both drivers were transported to local hospitals by Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. The Volkswagen driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act. Alcohol and speed are not considered factors.
