(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a recent retail robbery and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the two suspects.
On August 24, 2015, at approximately 1:35 am, two males entered a convenience store situated along the 0-100 block of Beechwood Avenue. The first suspect remained at the door while the second one approached the store employee and made a demand for cash. He kept a hand in his pocket so as to suggest he was carrying a weapon. No weapon was seen.
The two suspects fled on foot after obtaining an undisclosed quantity of cash, last seen turning south on Loyer Street. There were no injuries.
The suspects are described as follows (see pictures):
Suspect #1 is described as a Caucasian male, 20-25 years of age, approximately 5’8” (173cm) to 5’10” (178cm), medium build, with close cropped dark hair. He wore a black, baggy t-shirt featuring the face of “Tupac”, black loose fitting jeans, and black runners at the time of the robbery.
Suspect #2 is described as a Caucasian male, 20-25 years of age, approximately 5’8” (173cm), medium build. He wore a black baggy hooded sweatshirt, black baggy shorts that came below the knee, and white runners at the time of the robbery.
