(HURON-KINLOSS TWP, ON) – On January 24, 2016 at 1:27 p.m., members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) set up a R.I.D.E. checkpoint at the intersection of Southline Avenue and Bruce County Road 1 in Kinloss Township. An Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) trail crosses Bruce County Road 1 at this intersection.
A 31-year-old Plympton-Wyoming man and a 23-year-old Saugeen Shores man were each charged with speeding under the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act (MSVA) for travelling more than 50 km/h on a public trail.
