(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a 30-year old Etobicoke man with several criminal offences, including Aggravated Assault, after investigating a family dispute on 22 Sideroad in the Municipality of Meaford.
On Thursday, October 27, 2016 at approximately 5:03 p.m., Grey County OPP received a 9-1-1 call for a family dispute in progress. Upon arrival, police observed an injured male standing outside the residence. He had been drinking alcohol.
Investigation revealed that two residents, a 62-year old female and a 63-year old male, had been assaulted. Both victims were taken to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.
Jason D. BEACH was arrested without incident and held for a bail hearing on October 28, 2016 on charges of aggravated assault; utter a threat to cause death; assault with a weapon; assault; mischief under $5000 and possession of marihuana.
He remains in custody pending a video bail hearing scheduled for November 2, 2016.
