Two Robberies Believed to be related in Burlington

On Monday August 15th 2016 at approximately 1:20 AM, three girls in their late teens were walking along Cavendish Drive when a vehicle with three males approached them and the driver offered the girls a ride.

The girls declined at which time a male from the front passenger seat exited the vehicle and grabbed one of the girls and attempted to steal her backpack without success. During the struggle for the backpack the girl sustained a cut to her hand and it was believed this male suspect may have been armed with a knife.

The suspect returned to the vehicle and the girls ran from the area.

The suspects are described as:

Driver: white, male, brown hair with blonde in it

Front Passenger (suspect): white, male, in his mid-20’s with light blonde shaggy hair and wire a long sleeve shirt and a yellow and white bandana covering his face from the nose down.

Passenger Rear: passenger was wearing a hoodie

The vehicle is described as an older model Chevrolet, 4dr, black sedan.

Less than an hour later the same vehicle attended the Petro Canada located at 5600 Mainway where a lone attendant was working inside with the door locked. The driver and front passenger exited the vehicle and smashed the glass door to gain entry. Once inside, the suspects ran to the counter and pushed the attendant out of the way then stole a quantity of cigarettes and the cash drawer from the till before fleeing in the vehicle.

The suspects are described as:

Driver (suspect #1) – Male/white, 5’7, 160lbs, wearing black head covering over his hair and face, no shirt, dark coloured boxer brief underwear with red elastic, dark blue jeans with studded belt and black Adidas shoes.

Front Passenger (suspect #2)- Male/white, 5’10 -6’0” 180lbs, wearing black leather bandana on head, white bandana covering his face, black t-shirt, dark blue jeans, white gloves, and black running shoes with a white stripe horizontal along the bottom.

Both robberies are being investigated by the Burlington Criminal Investigations Bureau. Anyone with information is asked to contact D/Cst.
