On Saturday December 15, 2012 at 12:39 a.m., Guelph Police responded to the corner of Thornberry Court and Edinburgh Road South Guelph with regard to a report that a vehicle struck two pedestrians. Investigation revealed that the two males aged 21 and 20 years, were under the influence of alcohol when they crossed Edinburgh Road and were struck by a taxicab. One of the males was transported to GGH by GWEMS and received treatment for minimal injuries while the second was assessed at the scene of the collision and did not need to go to the hospital.
The cab sustained approximately $1000 in damages.
No charges have been laid at this time, but the incident is still under investigation.
