(COUNTY OF WELLINGTON, ON) – In separate incidents yesterday, two more drivers in Wellington County were found to be speeding 50 km/h or more over the speed limit and were issued seven day licence suspensions and the loss of their vehicles for seven days.
On December 20, 2017 at approximately 12:45 a.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on the Hanlon Expressway, near Laird Road, City of Guelph. The officer observed a female driving a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 135 km/h.
25-year-old Inhee CHOI of Mississauga has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on February 7, 2018. Her driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.

The officer observed a male driving a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 140 km/h.
A 17-year-old male from Fergus has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on February 6, 2018. His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
