On December 18, 2014 at approximately 3:53am two males approached a taxi cab while it was picking up a fare on Union St E in the city of Waterloo. The males attempted to rob the cab driver while pointing an object resembling a hand gun. The males were scared off and left the area before obtaining anything . Both males were last seen running down Union St E toward Lucan Ave. No one was injured in the incident. This matter is still under investigation and anyone with further information is asked to call Crime Stoppers 1 800 222 8477 or Waterloo Regional Police North Division Detectives at 519 650 8500 ext. 6397.
