Between April and June 2016, police received reports of approximately 13 separate multi-business mailboxes being pried open along Harvester Rd, International Bld, North Service Rd, Champlain Av and Walkers Line in Burlington.
After a lengthy investigation by members of the Burlington Criminal Investigations Bureau – Commercial Crime Team, two males have been arrested in connection with these thefts.
Investigators are still working to identify a third suspect and expected to lay additional charges.
The following persons have been arrested and held for bail:
Robert BABAI (29 yrs) of Toronto
• Break and enter with intent to commit theft (Three counts)
• Theft of Mail (Three counts)
• Possession of a controlled substance (cocaine)
• Fail to comply with probation
Ferenc Tamas SALLAI (30 yrs) of Toronto
• Break and enter with intent to commit theft
• Theft of Mail
