(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) – On Wednesday, July 06, 2016, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, and Perth County OPP executed 2 Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants at a residence on Argyle Avenue, in Listowel.
As a result of the execution of the first search warrant, police seized methamphetamine and cannabis marihuana. The estimated, combined street value of the seized controlled substances is $125.00. Police also seized offence related property that consisted of drug trafficking paraphernalia along with a stolen lap top computer and licence plate.
49-year-old Gordon KEESO, and 40-year-old Elizabeth VERNER, both residents of the Municipality of North Perth were arrested and have each been charged with possession of methamphetamine and marihuana. In addition they were also charged with two counts of possession of stolen property.
As a result of the execution of the second search warrant, police seized methamphetamine and cocaine. The estimated, combined street value of the seized controlled substances is $450.00. Police also seized offence related property that consisted of cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia. The estimated value of the offence related property was $1,000.00.
The following people were arrested within the residence and have been charged with the following offences:
54-year-old Samuel MCLEAN of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with; possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking, and failing to comply with conditions of a probation order
39-year-old Patricia HAMILTON of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with; possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking, failing to comply with conditions of a probation order, and failing to comply with conditions of a recognizance (2 counts).
42-year-old Peter THEDORFF of the Municipality of North Perth has been charged with; possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking, theft, and possession of stolen property.
56-year-old Karl BRUNNER of Palmerston has been charged with; possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking
They were held in custody and appeared at a bail hearing. At this hearing they were released on a recognizance and undertaking. They are to appear at the Listowel Court of Justice on, July 27, 2016, to answer to the charges.
A Youth from Palmerston was also arrested. The youth has been charged with; possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking, and possession of cocaine. The youth is to appear at the Youth Court of Justice in Listowel on August 24, 2016, to answer to the charges.
