Shortly after 5:00p.m on May 5th Barrie Police responded to the area of Cundles and Sunnidale after a motorist reported being shot in the neck by an unknown person with a pellet gun while driving. The victim was transported to hospital by ambulance while police canvased the area attempting to locate the shooter. While officers were on scene, police received a second call from another motorist who had been shot in the neck while sitting at the stop light at the intersection. Police located several pellets imbedded in a wooden fence at the rear of a nearby residence and spoke to the occupants. Investigation led to the arrest of a 19 year old male from the residence. The male was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault with a weapon. He was held pending a bail hearing. The two female victims received minor injuries.
