Two Collisions In Owen Sound

On Thursday 26 May 2016 the Owen Sound Police investigated two separate motor vehicle collisions.

At approximately 5:13pm a 2008 GMC Sierra being operated by a 30 year old Mildmay resident was south bound in the 200 block of 9 th Avenue East Owen Sound. A second vehicle had slowed to turn right into a business when the Sierra rear ended the second car. The 30 year old driver was charged with careless driving.

At approximately 9:15pm police responded to the 300 block of 7 th Avenue East in the City of Owen Sound in regards to a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival police learned that an 18 year old Owen Sound female was operating a 2001 Toyota Echo north bound on 7 th Avenue East. The female drove into the rear of a 2005 Dodge Caravan which was unoccupied and legally parked. The female was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Charges are pending.
