Two Charged With Open Alcohol

(MILDMAY, ON) – On December 30th, 2010 at 11:20 a South Bruce OPP officer was on patrol along Absalom Street East in Mildmay. A van was stopped and the officer found the occupants of the vehicle had open alcohol. 20 year old Sean COOK and 19 year old Mathew STEVENSON, both of Morris Turnberry Township, are charged with Having open liquor out of residence. Motorists are reminded if they are transporting alcohol in a vehicle, it must be sealed, placed where it’s not accessible to the driver and someone in the vehicle must be of legal age to possess alcohol. It is both illegal and unsafe to mix drinking and driving; the South Bruce OPP has a zero tolerance for impaired driving.
