Two Charged After Cyclists Stopped

On November 2, 2015 at 12:26 a.m., the Guelph Police attempted to stop two males riding bicycles on Woolwich Street without any lights. Police were able to stop one as the two rode in different directions. Investigation of the stopped male determined he was breaching conditions and he was arrested. A search subsequent to his arrest discovered a knife, break in tools and a small quantity of Crystal Meth.

The second male was located on Baily Avenue and stopped there. The male identified to police but investigation determined he gave a false name and he was arrested. It was also determined that he was breaching a court imposed condition. A search subsequent to his arrest discovered break in tools.

Jacob Duquette, 22 years of Guelph has been charged with breach of OIC undertaking, carry a concealed weapon, possession of break in tools and possession of a controlled substance. He will appear in court on November 3, 2015.

Christian Kastor, 36 years of Guelph has been charged with breach of recognizance, obstruct police and possession of break in tools. He will appear in court on November 3, 2015.
