Two ATVs Stolen From Two Different Properties

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) – On Wednesday morning, June 29, 2016, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to two rural properties along Line 29 South/East of Stratford. Both property owners reported thefts from their farms.

Investigation revealed that sometime between 9 p.m. on Tuesday June 28th and 6 a.m. on Wednesday June 29th, an unknown suspect(s) entered onto a farm property along Line 29 West of Sebastopol. Attempts were made to steal an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) that was parked in an open drive shed. The ATV sustained damage as unsuccessful attempts were made to remove it. A farm tractor parked near the ATV had keys stolen from inside the vehicle. The missing keys are for a New Holland tractor and are attached to a Great Lakes New Holland keychain.

Sometime during the same time period, a second farm property along Line 29 was entered upon. This property is located near Perth Road 112 and is approximately 8 km West of the first theft location. Unknown person(s) removed a red 2012 un-plated Honda TRX5 (500cc) from an unlocked shop located on the property. The ATV was driven away in an unknown direction.

The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone who may have observed suspicious persons or vehicles along Line 29 during the above noted time to contact them.
