Two Arrested in Stabbing Incident on Colborne Street

On June 8, 2015 two persons were arrested in connection with the stabbing incident on May 30, 2015 out front of a motel on Colborne Street.

As a result of an investigation Detectives in our Major Crime Unit have charged two persons. The victim was treated and released from hospital.

On June 8, 2015, at approximately 2:20 p.m., the BPS BEAT Unit who had received information from the Major Crime Unit earlier in the day that two individuals were wanted for the stabbing incident, observed the wanted persons walking on Richmond Street.

The BEAT Unit arrested the man and woman without incident.

Accused #1 DAVIS, Matthew, David, 26 yrs of Richmond Street, Brantford is charged with the following offences;

Aggravated Assault

Assault with a Weapon

Breach of Probation X2

Accused #2 KITCHEN, Mallory, Lynn, 28 yrs of Richmond Street, Brantford is charged with the following offences;

Accessory after the fact – Assault with a Weapon

Accessory after the fact – Aggravated Assault

Breach of Probation

Both accused were held in custody for a bail hearing

A 34 year old Brantford man was stabbed in an altercation outside a Colborne St motel. The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 pm on 30 May 2015. The victim was treated at the Brantford General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the identity of the male responsible for the stabbing.
