(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On December 30, 2017 at approximately 11:00 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a commercial break and enter in progress at a farming equipment business on Hyde Park Road, Middlesex Centre.
The business is equipped with a monitored security system. Police were alerted after two persons were observed entering the property on video surveillance.
Upon their arrival, police arrested a male at the scene. A second male was arrested nearby. A number of stolen lawn mowers were recovered.
As a result of this police investigation, 26-year-old, Ahmed ABDALLAH and 25-year-old, Harley JOHNSTON, both of London, have been charged with the following offences pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC):
Theft Under $5000
Possession Break In Instruments
Break, Enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence
Fail to Comply with a Court Order
The pair were held in custody and appeared in a London court on December 31, 2017.
