(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On March 20, 2018, at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a home invasion on Elviage Drive, Middlesex Centre.
The investigation thus far, has revealed that an adult resident of the home observed an unknown person gain access to the residence by force. The suspect then threatened the resident with a weapon and stole various items. The victim was not injured.
The suspect fled and the victim was able to call 9-1-1. Members of the Middlesex County OPP, West Region (WR) OPP Canine Unit, London Police Service and the London Police Service Canine Unit responded to the emergency call and a containment area was established.
As a result of the police response and investigation, a male and female, both adults, were taken into custody nearby. The arrested persons remain in custody by the Middlesex County OPP and charges are pending.
Members of the Middlesex County OPP Crime Unit continue to investigate this event.
