Incident: On Monday, June 13, 2016 at approximately 11 a.m., Community Patrol Officers were contacted by a pharmacy on Colborne Street in regards to a woman who was attempting to fill prescriptions in her deceased mothers’ name. Investigation revealed that the pharmacy was contacted by the insurance company who advised that the mother had passed away earlier in the year and no one should be attempting to fill the prescription. As a result, a 38 year-old Brantford woman was arrested and charged with multiple Criminal Code offences. She was released on an Appearance Notice for a future court date.
