On Friday July 17th at 10:08pm a Motor Vehicle Collision occurred at the intersection of King Street East and Jackson Ave in the City of Kitchener. A 53 year old Kitchener male cyclist travelling North bound on King Street East was struck by a South bound truck operated by a 18 year old Kitchener man, as it turned left onto Jackson Ave. The cyclist was transported to Grand River Hospital with serious but none life threatening lower body injuries. Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Central Division, Traffic Branch, and Identification Branch conducted a collision investigation and charges are pending.
