(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Thursday April 04, 2013 around 10 p.m. a Perth County OPP officer was observing traffic at the intersection of Line 32 and Road 150 between Sebringville and Mitchell. A west bound GMC Sierra pickup truck on Line 32 was observed driving through the stop sign controlled intersection of Road 150 without stopping as required.
The truck was pulled over and the male driver was found to display signs of intoxication. He was arrested and transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where he failed two Intoxilyzer breath tests. The male was also found to have marijuana in his possession.
Trevor SCHEERER (27) of the Municipality of West Perth has been charged with Impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, and with possession of Marijuana under 30 grams. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on May 13, 2013 to answer to these charges. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded for 7 days.
