(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On September 27, 2016 at 1:43 p.m., a Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer conducted a traffic stop for a Highway Traffic Act Violation on 6 Highway in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
Police stopped a grey 2003 Mitsubishi for plates not authorized for the vehicle. Upon further investigation it was discovered the owner was operating the vehicle without insurance and failing to comply with a recognizance issued by the Ontario Court of Justice.
Travis SLOANE, age 22, of Northern Bruce Peninsula has been charged with failing to comply with recognizance, operate a motor vehicle without insurance and use plates not authorized for vehicle.
He is in custody pending a hearing scheduled for October 5, 2016 to address the charges.
