(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On March 17, 2016, just before 6:30 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle collision on Elginfield Road, at Denfield Road.
A grey Dodge van was travelling north bound on Denfield Road. It collided with a transport trailer travelling westbound on Elginfield Road. The transport entered the ditch. Denfield Road is governed by stop signs.
The driver of the transport was transported to hospital by ambulance with possible life threatening injuries. The driver (and lone occupant) of the van was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are attending the scene to assist with the investigation. As a result, Elginfield Road is closed between Vanneck Road, and Coursey Line. Denfield Road is closed between 16 Mile Road and Airport Road. Motorists will have to find alternative routes.
