A routine traffic stop at 2:00am lead to the recovery of a stolen vehicle with three occupants inside.
On Thursday, September 1st, 2016 at 2:00am Barrie Police conducted a traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle with three occupants inside on Maple Avenue and Sophia Street, in the City of Barrie.The driver provided a story to police that did not seem right and further investigation revealed the car she was driving was in fact stolen. A 24-year-old Barrie female was arrested for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and two counts of Breach Probation. Due to her lengthy run in with the law and previous probation orders she was held for bail court in the morning. The other two occupants where not believed to have knowledge of the status of the vehicle and released on scene.
