(Central Huron, ON) On September 21, 2010 at approximately 9:00 pm, a Huron OPP officer initiated a traffic stop after watching a vehicle cross the center line on Huron Road several times.
Immediately upon speaking to the driver, the officer detected the odour of fresh marihuana. After initially denying possession of any drugs, the driver then produced a bag containing two large plants believed to be cannabis marihuana. A subsequent search of the vehicle, after the two occupants were arrested, yielded marihuana bud.
As a result of the traffic stop and subsequent investigation, Justin DICKINSON (21) of Goderich has been charged with one count of Production of a Controlled Substance – Cannabis Marihuana and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Cannabis Marihuana. He will answer to his charges in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on November 8, 2010. The passenger in the vehicle was not charged.
