Traffic stop leads to charges

On January 31, 2014, at 1:21 a.m., the Guelph Police observed a motor vehicle southbound on Waterloo Avenue with an expired permit. Police stopped the vehicle and spoke with the male driver. He refused to provide a sample of his breath after a demand was made for a roadside breath test and he was arrested.

Daniel LAVIGNE, 35 years of Blezard Valley, has been charged with refuse to provide breath sample, Criminal Code and under the Highway Traffic Act for drive under suspension and drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit. He will appear in count on March 11, 2014.
