(PERTH COUNTY, ON) This summer numerous road construction projects are underway in Perth County. To ensure the safety of construction workers and the general public, speed limits have also been reduced in a number of designated road construction zones.
The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be making an extra effort to patrol these zones and the by-pass roads around them. It is hoped that the motoring public will abide by the posted speeds, additional signage, construction equipment, and construction flag people.
Many of the construction zones have posted signs, which advise motorists that speed fines double when workers are present”. Please allow yourself some extra time to reach your destination or find safe alternate routes around these projects. “
