Traffic disruptions expected in the downtown core due to demonstrations

(Ottawa)- The Ottawa Police Service would like to advise the public of possible traffic disruptions in the downtown core this afternoon due to a demonstration taking place in the vicinity of Parliament Hill.

The demonstration may affect traffic in the area of Elgin Street & Laurier Avenue and then Wellington Street. The demonstration is planned between 2:00pm and approx. 3:30pm.

Commuters are asked to avoid the area when possible.
