(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Thursday May 16, 2013, shortly after 1 p.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol stopped a speeding eastbound Pontiac Sunfire on Hwy 7/8 east of Shakespeare.
The officer detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage on the driver’s breath and a roadside breath test was administered which she failed. The driver was transported to the Perth County OPP Detachment in Sebringville where she failed subsequent Intoxilyzer breath tests.
Tracey DIAMOND (38) of New Hamburg has been charged with operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on June 17, 2013 to answer to this charge. Her driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and her vehicle has been impounded for 7 days.
