(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Tuesday morning August 27, 2013, Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to the Upper Thames Elementary School on Frances Street in Mitchell where construction workers discovered tools stolen from a construction trailer.
The locked construction trailer was left parked behind the school (in a location that was poorly visible from Frances St.) on Monday August 26, 2013. Upon arriving for work at 8 a.m. on Tuesday August 27, company employees discovered that the trailer lock had been cut off. They also discovered that two DeWalt impact guns, one blue Stihl chop saw and two sets of drill bits were removed from inside the trailer.
Anyone who may have observed individuals around the school during the night or who knows the whereabouts of the tools is requested to contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
