(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – On January 31, 2012 a Huron OPP officer stopped a green Ford Explorer just before 11:00 a.m. for a traffic violation. The SUV was stopped on Benmiller Line near Huron Road. The officer determined the licence plates attached to the Explorer were not authorized for the vehicle. Further investigation revealed the motor vehicle was not insured as required by the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
As a result, Todd GIESBRECHT, aged 49, from North Huron, ON has been charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle without Insurance and Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle. He is scheduled to appear in Ontario Provincial Court on April 3, 2012 to answer to the charges.
