On August 19, 2016 at 11:13 p.m., the Guelph Community Volunteer Patrol (CVP) contacted police to report two motor vehicles that appeared to be racing in the area of College Avenue West and Conroy Crescent. Police located one of those vehicles at College Avenue and Argyle Road. The driver had pulled over to the side of the road to deal with some damage to the undercarriage of his car. Police spoke with the male, determined that he was impaired by alcohol and he was arrested.
Timothy Bovay, 38 years of Cambridge has been charged with impaired driving and drive over 80mg. He will appear in court on September 6, 2016
