Three Vehicle Collision Under Investigation – One Airlifted To London

(PERTH EAST, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating a three vehicle collision that took place this afternoon approximately 8 kilometers east of Listowel. At 12:41 p.m. Perth County OPP officers responded to the collision scene located at Line 86 between Perth Road 129 and Perth Road 121. Officers were assisted on scene by Perth County Paramedics and firefighters from North Perth and Perth East.

Officers have learned a blue Toyota Sienna minivan travelling eastbound on Line 86 crossed over the center line into the path of a westbound concrete truck. A silver Dodge Caravan travelling westbound also collided with the concrete truck.

The single occupant of the Toyota Sienna, a 79 year old female from New Hamburg was extricated from the vehicle and was transported by air ambulance to London Health Sciences Center – University of Victoria Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the concrete truck, a 42 year old male from Tavistock was uninjured.

The driver of the Dodge Caravan, a 45 year old female from Listowel was uninjured.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

To avoid travel delays please take alternate routes. Line 86 remains closed for vehicle removal between Perth Road 129 and Perth Road 124.
