VEHICLES DAMAGED BY FIRE 2013-07-17
(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH TWP, ON) The Huron Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is continuing their investigation into a suspicious vehicle fire that occurred on Saturday July 06, 2013 at Connect Farm Equipment located on Amberley Rd. east of Lucknow.
Investigation revealed that shortly after midnight in the early hours of Saturday July 6th, the Lucknow Fire Department was dispatched to a reported fire behind the Connect Farm Equipment building. Upon arrival, three pickup trucks parked behind the building were found to be burning. The fires were extinguished and Huron County OPP officers were dispatched to the scene.
One of the three pickup trucks, a 1999 Chevy Silverado was completely destroyed while a 200 GMC Sierra pickup and a 2007 Ford F-250 pickup sustained limited damage. Investigation further indicated that the following items had been removed from inside one of the trucks;
Booster cables
A tow rope
A bag containing 7 Garmin Astro GPS dog tracking collars (used for hunting Coyotes), and a receiver tracking unit for the 7 collars.
A Kenwood CB 2 way FM radio transmitter
