(BLUEWATER, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating the discovery of three dogs found dead at an area known as the Hay Swamp, located at the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority west of Exeter.
Just after 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2016 Huron OPP officers were notified of the discovery of the dead dogs after a group of rabbit hunters came across the dogs lying in the ditch approximately 100 meters south of the intersection of Parr Line and Rodgerville Road.
Upon inspection of the male dogs the officers determined the animals had all been shot in the head. Two of the dogs were mixed breed hounds and one of the dogs was a purebred Walkerhound. Two were light brown in colour and one was primarily white with light brown patches.
