Three Day Suspension Served On Driver

(BLUEWATER, ON) – Just before 9:00 p.m. on May 24, 2014 the driver of a Toyota Tundra pickup entered a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint located at the intersection of Mill Road and Parr Line. Upon speaking with the male driver the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer detected an odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath.

A roadside test was completed and the driver registered a fail. The driver was arrested for Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. He later provided two samples of his breath and his blood alcohol concentration (B.A.C) now registered in the warn range level.

The 55 year old male driver from Bluewater was served with a three day driver’s licence suspension and released from custody.
