(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers have charged two males and a female with Possession of a Controlled Substance following a traffic stop on July 21, 2013. At approximately 11:35 a.m. a Chevrolet Malibu entered a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint located at Dungannon Road just west of Dungannon. Officers spoke with the occupants and noticed the rear passenger was holding an open bottle of beer. A search of the vehicle was conducted whereupon officers located marihuana. The occupants were searched and officers located additional marihuana on one of the passengers.
The driver, Angela SCHULTZ (30) from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.
Passenger, Ryan SCHULTZ (27) from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.
Passenger, Shane ERRINGTON-BURNS (23) from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act and Having Liquor in Open Container Other than Licensed Premises contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.
All three are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on August 26, 2013 to answer to the charges.
