Thomas VANDIEPENBEEK – Drunk Driving

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – A 30 year old male is facing an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and an Over 80 charge after an early morning traffic stop. On March 24, 2013 just after 3:00 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped a grey Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck on South Street in Port Albert. Upon speaking with the driver the officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside test was administered and the driver registered a fail. He was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment where he provided two samples of his breath to an Intoxilizer technician. Both tests were above the legal limit.

As a result, Thomas VANDIEPENBEEK, 30, from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court appearance scheduled for April 29, 2013 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle will be impounded for seven days.
