Thomas Mangos – Drunk Driving – Passed Out Behind Wheel – Three Times Legal Limit

(Bluewater, ON) On September 17, 2010 Huron OPP officers received a call of a male asleep in his vehicle at the side of the road. A passing motorist had attempted to check on his wellbeing but when she was unable to wake the person up, she contacted police to check on him. Shortly after 10:00 am, officers arrived and located the driver with a blanket over his head and body. He was very difficult to rouse but eventually officers were successful. Signs of being impaired by alcohol were immediately detected and the driver was arrested for Impaired Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle.

The driver was taken to the Huron OPP Detachment where he met with a qualified Intoxilizer Technician to provide two samples of his breath. The man complied and the results of the tests indicated that he had a blood alcohol level nearly three times above the legal limit of 80 milligrams.

As a result of the call from a concerned citizen, Thomas MANGOS (50) of Agincourt has been charged with one count of Impaired Care and Control and one count of Care and Control Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He will answer to his charges in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 18, 2010. LP10253386
